Important: Sediment filters only reduce sediment >5 microns. They do not remove chemicals, heavy metals or make the water taste or smell better. This product should not be used as your only filter. This product is designed to be used in front of the Epic Smart Shield filter, so water passes through the sediment filter first collecting dirt, rust and debris greater than 5 microns, then the water goes through the Smart Shield which has submicron filtration with a solid carbon block.
