Trabucco
Among the narrow streets of Naples, hidden wonders sit nestled between the lowlands and the main roads, like figures in a detailed Nativity scene that catch the traveler's eye. In Via San Liborio rises Palazzo Trabucco, an authentic example of eighteenth-century architecture with its magnificent staircase and five floors.
The first building dates to the 17th century; the renovation followed the earthquake of 1732, by the architect Nicola Tagliacozzi Canale. The result is one of the most majestic examples of Neapolitan Baroque, the style that preceded the Rococo, embodying the layered atmosphere of the historic city.
The Trabucco glove is dedicated to that architecture. The two sides of the glove are joined by zig-zag stitching that recalls the steps of the eighteenth-century palace staircases. Hand-crafted in Naples.
Available in Bordeaux/Tobacco, Soft Brick/Taupe, and Forest Green/Mud. Each colourway combines two tones across the joint, the zig-zag stitching marking the transition.
